Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Boulder

St. Patrick’s Day is upon us, and thankfully for CU students, this year it falls on a Saturday. Conor O’Neill’s Traditional Irish Pub is throwing down in a major way, but since you have a full day to recover, why not check out everything Boulder has to offer?

Walrus Saloon
1 p.m. Saturday to 2 a.m. Sunday, 1911 11th St.
With $1 Odell’s Red drafts and gelatin shots and $4 full size car bombs, the Walrus has a feeling Boulder is about to see its biggest night ever.

The Lazy Dog Sports Bar & Grill
10 p.m. Saturday to 1:30 a.m. Sunday, 1346 Pearl St.
Feel the rhythm as Hot Soup brings the funk and Barren Waves blend Irish folk and punk.

The Underdog
4 p.m. Saturday to 2 a.m. Sunday, 1346 Pearl St.
Head underground for the first ever St. Patrick’s Day party at the Underdog. Come for the drink specials, and stay for the chance to win tickets to Technicolor Tone Factory’s performance at the Boulder Theater.

Mountain Sun Pub & Brewery
10 p.m. Saturday to 1 a.m. Sunday, 1535 Pearl St.
Celebrate the day with the music of Lyons-based TAARKA. Their indie-gypsy chamber folk sound is the perfect fit for some St. Patty’s Day dancing.

West End Tavern
11:30 a.m. Saturday to 12:30 a.m. Sunday, 926 Pearl St.
The West End Tavern is going all out with Irish dance performances at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. and food and drink specials all day. Wash down your corned beef and cabbage, shepherd’s pie and bangers and mash with a shamrock shake, car bomb slushie or Irish beer.

Asher Brewing Company
3:30 p.m. Saturday to 10 p.m. Sunday, 4699 Nautilus Court South #104
Head to North Boulder to dine on food from Heirloom and listen to live music from Bob Dylan cover band The Zimmermans and jazz fusion group Jababa.

Hotel Boulderado
5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, 2115 13th St.
There’s no cover, but there is a two item minimum for this celebration. Choose from items such as potato latkes, Reuben sandwiches and mint chocolate chip mousse and enjoy acoustic Irish music from The Green Party and Irish step dancing from the McTeggart Dancers.
